Clearwave vs. NuvoH2O Water Softener

There’s a lot of hype about finding the best water softener system in the market today. People have different experiences with regards to hard water. Some have bigger problems with it than others. I guess it depends on the water source in your particular area. Where I come from, the water is really hard and I get a lot of scale buildup in my appliances.

The mineral deposits get into our dishwasher and there were times when the dishes had spots on them.

Clearwave vs NuvoH2O

We realized how bad our water was when we visited my wife’s parents in the east coast. My wife took a shower and her hair felt absolutely wonderful, unlike the showers she had at home.

At that point we looked around the Internet for information and found a good amount of water softener reviews. We found products on both sides of the extreme — from really cheap water softeners to water softener systems with absolutely jaw dropping prices. We even found water softeners that go for several thousand dollars!

In our search, we found a couple of viable options as the best water softener system. The first one is the NuvoH2O Home Complete Salt-Free Water Softening Systemwhich is actually the one that stayed in the house, and the L.L.C. Clearwave Electronic Water Softener System, which we used for a time. Here are our experiences with both products.

OPTION 1: Clearwave Electronic Water Softener System

  • Cheaper Alternative, Basic Water Softener

To be honest, one of the big reasons why we chose the Clearwave Electronic Water Softener System was that it was a lot less expensive compared to a lot of the options we saw. It was a simpler to install and it really works. We didn’t even call the plumber to install it. It took  a while before we felt any of its benefits.

If you purchase this water softener give it a few days to about a week and then you’ll see a noticeable change in your water. It took some time before we saw an improvement both in our shower heads and in the dishwasher. Well, that was our big test – if the water softener system can help with the stain from the dishwasher then it’s a good system.

OPTION 2: NuvoH2O Home Complete Salt-Free Water Softening System

  • Better But Pricier Replacement

It was quite unfortunate that the Clearwave unit croaked on us after a year or so. Well, we were basically hooked on softened water that we didn’t want to give it up. So, we opted for an option that was a little more expensive but not too costly. We didn’t see any reason why we should spend a couple of thousand dollars for a water softener when there are more affordable products that can do the same job very well. The NuvoH2O Home Complete Salt-Free Water Softening System came in but we called our plumber to install it this time, just to be sure.

  • Durability

The big thing about this water softener unit is the fact that it stayed in our house longer. We had to get a replacement cartridge every once in a while but we didn’t mind. To date, our water remains scale free and we no longer have any spots on the dishes, thanks to these two water softeners mentioned here.

Best Water Softener System: Final Verdict

We recommend the NuvoH2O Home Complete Salt-Free Water Softening System as the best water softener system. It does the job right and and lasts longer.
